Kristen A. Rodriguez
Kristen A. Rodriguez is an attorney at the firm representing clients accused of crimes in Maryland. She has experience defending clients at the Motor Vehicles Administration and in both District and Circuit Court proceedings. She also has experience defending juveniles and in the juvenile justice system.
Kristen was born in Miami, Florida. She is a native Spanish speaker as the grandchild of Cuban immigrants. She received her bachelors in both Finance and Human Resources from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Before law school, Kristen served as a paralegal in a law firm specializing in Family Law issues, graduating cum laude. She attended American University Washington College of Law where she graduated cum laude. Throughout law school, Kristen worked primarily at the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office in various positions, including district court screener, felony team intern, and Rule 19 Attorney.
Kristen prides herself on being a tireless advocate for her clients. She believes that, when you trust her to be your lawyer, her job isn’t just representing you in court but also making sure that you understand what is happening and the possible consequences of your charge.Kristen has deep ties to the court and has an intimate understanding of how it works. Before she joined the firm, she served as judicial clerk for the Honorable Cheryl A. McCally and the Honorable Karla N. Smith in the Montgomery County Circuit Court. As Judge McCally’s clerk, Kristen researched law and drafted judicial opinions covering a broad range of criminal law issues, including murder and gang-related crimes. With Judge Smith, Kristen was primarily involved the juvenile rotation and learning the ins and outs of how the juvenile justice system works.
